The Chilton Motorcycle Club was formed in 1978 by a
number of training instructors involved with the RAC /
ACU novice training scheme. Many of these instructors
were advanced riders themselves and introduced the
club's emphasis on high standards of riding.
The club quickly became well respected amongst the local
biking community and joined the BMF as an affiliated
club, something which the club still retains today.
The Club's name comes from the village of Chilton, 2
miles north of Long Crendon in Buckinghamshire, where
many of the founding members lived.
The current club membership is approximately 50 members.
The club is self financing, relying on membership fees
and fund raising events, to provide subsidised
merchandise and outings for its members. We also donate
money to charity each year and hold an annual Easter Egg
Run to local children's homes.
